I went out and bought a Pilot Parallel pen yesterday, after seeing this video bouncing around the internet so much for the last week. I ran through an entire ink cartridge in less than 24 hours just messing around; it’s seriously fun to use. I bought the 6mm, which makes wonderfully fat, inky lines.
I also picked up a couple Speedball Steel Brush nibs too, to go even bigger. The 3/4” can lay down rivers of ink in one go, I love it. It’s been a while since I’ve really tested out some new mark making implements. There’s such a rush when you first put a new tool to work, and you can suddenly see the new worlds that have just opened up to you.
